It is incredible to think that God’s plan rests in our hands. I mean by this that as we look at events in the New Testament when the message of the gospel is taught, it is done through fellow Christians. God always brings the seeker and the teacher together. That is not done by chance. It is done by deliberate action on the part of our Master.
I’ll explore more about this incredible responsibility in this episode.
I invite you to follow our podcast and share it with others as together we walk with our Master.

Hello friends. Welcome to Walking with Our Master. I'm your host, Dave Leighton. Whether you're starting your morning or winding down your evening, let's take a few moments to center our hearts on some thoughts about what really matters. H
Speakerave you ever had a conversation that seemed to happen at exactly the right moment? The timing was just right. The person was ready, the words came naturally, and afterwards you found yourself thinking, that was not by chance. What if those moments are not accidental at all? What if they are part of how our master is working in the world right now?
SpeakerWell, as we walk with our master, we begin to see that he is always at work. He is preparing hearts, he's guiding lives, and he's bringing people together in ways that reflect his purpose. Our role is to walk closely enough with our master that we recognize them when they come. When we look at Scripture, we see a consistent pattern of how God works.
SpeakerIn Acts chapter 8, a man from Ethiopia is traveling and reading from Isaiah. He is searching. He wants to understand. At the same time, God is guiding Philip to that exact road. When Philip arrives, he listens, he asks questions. Then he shares Jesus, and the man responds. In
SpeakerActs chapter ten, Cornelius is praying. He is seeking God. An angel appears to him, yet the angel does not tell him how to be saved. Instead, he is told to send for Peter. At the same time, Peter is being prepared. And when they come together, Peter shares the gospel. Cornelius and his household respond.
SpeakerIn Acts chapter nine, Saul meets Jesus on the road to Damascus. This is a powerful and direct encounter. Yet even in that moment, Jesus does not tell Saul what to do to be saved. Saul is told to go into the city. Then God sends Ananias, and Ananias tells him what he needs to do.
SpeakerDo you see the pattern? God prepares the seeker and the servant. Then he brings them together. Even in the events when Jesus appeared directly, he still chooses to involve a faithful follower to share the message. This tells us something deeply important. Our master still works that way today.
SpeakerPaul later explains this beautifully. He says, I planted, Apollo ordered, but God gave the growth. And then he tells us that we have been given the ministry of reconciliation. We are ambassadors for Christ. God is making his appeal through us.
SpeakerThink about that. God is making his appeal through us. That means when we speak truth, he is working. When we listen with compassion, he is present. When we open scripture, his power is active. This should change how we see our walk with the Master. We are not simply following Him for our own growth. We are walking with Him into the lives of others that He has prepared for us.
SpeakerAnd as we walk with our Master, we begin to notice things we once overlook. We begin to see the person who is asking deeper questions. We recognize when someone is searching for hope. We sense when a conversation is opening in a meaningful way. These are invitations. Our master is placing us in those moments.
SpeakerWe do not need perfect words. We need a willing heart. We need to listen. We need to trust that the Master is already at work. And what a joy and an honor that He has chosen us in that moment. And here is something incredible. When we step into these moments, our own faith grows stronger. We begin to see God's power in action. We see hearts opening. We see understanding forming, and we see lives beginning to change.
SpeakerAnd in those moments, our faith moves from something we believe to something we witness. We realize that we are walking with a living Savior who is actively working through us. Well, as we close today, remember this. And we are part of his ministry of reconciliation. So the next conversation you have may be one he has already prepared.
SpeakerWell, thank you for listening today as together we walk with our Master. Please join us again next week as we continue seeking truth, growing in faith, and getting back to what really matters.
