Walking With Our Master
Introduction
Hello friends, I'm your host Dave Laton and welcome to our podcast, Walking With Our Master, an outreach of the Prattville Church of Christ designed to inform, encourage, and teach as we daily walk with the Master.
In this inaugural episode I want to introduce you to the family of the Prattville Church of Christ, located in Prattville, Alabama. We're simply Christians seeking to grow in faithfulness to and love for our Savior, Jesus Christ. And we love having visitors so if you are looking for a home congregation, we welcome you.
We are dedicated to following and sharing the simple gospel message of Jesus with each other, our community, and to all the world. We seek to live by His teachings as we worship, study, and share with others His love and compassion.
The Prattville family is led by shepherds dedicated to helping us grow spiritually. These men have demonstrated their godliness over many years of service to our Lord and His Church.
Our ministry team of Brent Missildine, Jason Green, Remington Afre, and Keith Kasarjian share insights from God's word and guide us in our journey to Christlikeness.
Our members are caring and loving Christians from all walks of life. They are active in a wide range of ministries focused on serving our Lord, each other, and our community. It is our desire to demonstrate the love of our Lord as we share Him in our community and beyond.
As we continue with this podcast, we will share a wide variety of information as we dig deeper into the teachings of our Lord and share experiences from walking daily with our Master. We will come to know our leadership, ministers, and members. From time to time, we will also have special guests to share their thoughts to help us all on our spiritual journey.
One more thought before I wrap up. We serve a King that loves us and offers us joy and peace. He also offers help as we are challenged in this life. He offers a warm and comforting welcome to each of us to come to Him. He says so in Matthew 11:28-30. Listen as I read.
"Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
